Buffalo's American Restaurant
Fort Terrace
Bridlington

You can’t come to Bridlington without having a meal here. The food is great and the service is excellent.

Location:
The restaurant is located on Fort Terrace just off the sea front between the amusement arcades and Leisure World. Booking a table for 8:30pm we asked for a table in the window and that's exactly what we got.

Service:
We were served by Kellie (I hope that's how you spell her name), a very attentive girl who really made us feel very welcome. She was chatty but not overbearing - the sort of waitress most top London restaurants would die for. The wine was poured for us during the meal and the used plates were removed as soon as they were finished - which for me is how all restraunts should be.

Food:
We (my wife and I) shared BBQ Wings & BBQ Ribs to start and they both tasted excellent. My wife had a very enjoyable Ribeye, cooked exactly as ordered. I had a 10oz rump steak which has to be the best tasting rump I have ever had - the meat just fell apart, it was cooked so well. For dessert my wife had Chocolate Brownie's. I say 'Brownies' as there were 2 large pieces of Brownie along with 2 scoops of ice cream. I had a single espresso which was so big it was like having a triple! - which i loved.

The meat is from a local butcher and of the highest quality.

Ambience:
The dining area is quite small but the tables are arranged well with no one being on top of each other. It was a little bit noisy, but hey, most restaurants are!

Overall:
We have been to many top London & Michelin Starred restaurants and Buffalo's certainly matched them in every area. Buffalo's however has the edge - it beats them on price hands down. For our meal including a bottle of Californian Sauvignon Blanc we paid £45.00.

Will we be going back? Living in Sewerby, loving our food! The answer is a definite, 'Yes'.

Teddy Bears peak around every corner in this very friendly Old Town restaurant. The food is excellent home made fare and the service the staff provide is second to none! The wine list caters for everyones taste and a visit here should not be missed. The seating is not over crowded and the covers in the top part of the restaurant are quite intimate. Remember to leave room for a dessert!

Excellent Pasta & Pizza's await anyone who dines here. We called here after a very busy day out (a Saturday in the middle of the school holidays) and whilst the restaurant was fully booked they made a table available for us. My wife had Pasta Carbonara and I had a Rustica Pizza, which I must say is the best Rustica pizza I have ever had - nice and spicy!

The service was good and the staff were very attentive.

We have been going to this restaurant since the 1st day they opened and i have to say that the food seems to get better and better on each visit.

Please note though that the restaurant does not take credit cards.

A wonderful meal awaits anyone who visits this fairly new edition to Bridlington's excellent range of restaurants. Situated opposite the rear entrance to Marks & Spencer the restaurant is spread over 2 floors with the tables downstairs offering that little bit of intimacy that a lot of diners like. I visited this restaurant at 7:00pm on a Friday night in August, a little hesitant at what I might find as all the other Indian Restaurants in Bridlington have proved a big disappointment. Not this one though, the service was of the highest order with the staff being very attentive without being over-bearing.

The food tasted wonderful with the meat falling off the bone at the slightest touch.I had Tandoori Chicken to start followed by Chicken Pathia with my wife having Chicken Pakoras followed by Chicken Bhuna. To accompany this we had Garlic Chilli Rice and a Garlic Naan.We couldn't face a dessert due to being so full from the amount of food we ate!The drinks menu is very extensive with an excellent range of alchol free beers. Please note that the restaurant does not have a alchol licence but you are very welcome to take your own wine - they'll even cork it for you at no cost!

Updated - We visit this restaurant at least once a month and we have never had a bad meal!

Raffles (English)
A La Carte Restaurant

Bridlington

Brilliant is what I say everytime I visits this small and intimate restaurant in the heart of Bridlingtons Old Town. The food is all home made and there's always plenty of it. The staff are very courteous and treat all of their guests like family. There is a choice of menus which are exceedingly good value for money.

You will definately have to book to enjoy this restaurant. The last time I called, with my wife, we both had the early evening 2 course menu which included a half carafe of wine for only £17.95 (for both). You will not be disappointed!

Award winning fish and chips from the best fish & chip shop in Bridlington - as voted by the readers of the Bridlington Gazette & Herald.

Mark always makes everyone feel welcome and everytime we visit, we are never disappointed by either the service or quality.

The fish are always cooked to order so you know they are going to be good. There are Never any bones or skin, like some of the seafront chippies.

Open nearly every day for lunch and dinner!
Dolce Vita (Italian)
Barmston
Nr Bridlington

You will find the restaurant on the A165, Hull to Bridlington road, at the village of Barmston about 4 miles south of Bridlington.

The restaurant serves massive portions of food. Excellent you may say, but that is if you are not bothered about the service.

We have been twice to this restaurant. The first time we went the food was excellent and we could not believe the portion sizes. However the service was downright rude. The staff only seemed interested in talking to the regulars. Everyone else seemed like a chore!

However we thought we'd give it another go, earlier in the evening this time. We called at 5:30pm on our way back to Bridlington. We walked into the restaurant to find only 4 tables occupied. "A table for 2 we asked". The waitress replied that they were full. We advised her that we would be quick as all we wanted was a pasta & pizza and a drink. "Wait outside and i will sort you a table" said the waitress.

We waited outside at a cold and draughty table (something put there for smokers - by the look of it). The next minute the waitress was setting up the table outside for us to eat at - the waitress didn't even wipe the table which has bird muck on it and God only knows what else!"Do you not have a table inside we asked", " No we told you, we are full" said the waitress.

Well we got up and left and will not be going back there again. There are better Italian restaurants in Bridlington - see Bonifacios above - what more the food tastes nicer and you don't have to drive, so you can enjoy a nice bottle of wine and a grappa!
